Product Description

Bit Description:
IADC: 617 – TCI journal sealed bearing bit with gauge protection for medium hard formations with high compressive strength .
Compressive Strength:
85 – 100 MPA
12,000 – 14,500 PSI
Ground Description:
Medium hard and abrasive rocks such as sandstones with streaks of quartz, hard limestone or chert, hematite ores, hard, well-compacted abrasive rock such as: sandstones with quartz binder, dolomites, quartzite shales, magma and metamorphic coarse grained rocks.
We can offer TCI bits in avariety of sizes (from 3 3/8″ to 26″) and all most of IADC codes.
1. 5 5/8″ is a regular size ,we also called 142mm or 143mm, the thread connection is 3 1/2 reg pin.it will be used for deep well drilling like oil and gas well drilling, and it is also a regular size in horizontal directional pilot hole drilling.
2.We have two types of tricone bit according to grades of bearing , one is Elastomer sealed bearing with normal quality and price, another is Metal-face sealed bearing with higher performance and price.
3.For very deep well drilling, we recommend Metal-face sealed bearing tricone bits in drilling depth exceeds 1000 meters, for hard rock and long distance trenchless pilot hole drilling that length exceeds 300 meters we also recommend metal-face sealed bearing tricone bits.
4.For water well drilling, shallow well drilling or shorter distance trenchless pilot hole drilling projects, elastomer(rubber) sealed bearing tricone bits has better cost performance.
