Hybrid drill bits have 3 cones and 3 blades twice better than premium roller cone bits.
Hybrid drill bit technology combines roller cones and PDC fixed cutters into a single,patented design to reduce drilling time and trips in the most complex applications.With the rock-crushing strength and stability of roller cones and the cutting superiority and continuous shearing action of diamond bits, the technology increases ROP,improves cuttings removal and survives highly interbedded formations with performance consistency and excellent toolface control.

PDC-Roller compound bit is composited by PDC fixed cutting and roller free cutting structure.Rock will be broken by roller teeth’s impact crushing,it’ll forms breaking pits on bottom,the uneven surface will weaken rock strength. Under roller’helping,the PDC will bites into the layer. The function is obviously on cutting and save work.
