Product Specification

9 7/8″ is 250mm in diameter, the thread connection is 6 5/8 reg pin according to API specification.
IADC537 means that tricone roller bit is suitable for drilling medium hardness rocks like limestone, shale, gypsum, etc. The bearing is elastomer sealed to increase working life.
Tungsten carbide inserts(TCI) is very hard alloy to drilling hard rocks, the heel of cones and arm-back are full inserted with Tungsten Carbide teeth.
It is a common size in mining field, to drill blast hole. In mining drilling, first number for IADC code are usually 6,7,8,and the third number are usually 2 and 5.
According to IADC specifications for tricone bit,”2″ means standard open bearing roller bit,and “5″ means sealed roller bearing bit with gauge protection.
In some countries, 9 7/8″(250.8mm) is often used to drill water well and geothermal well. Drill rig is circulated by mud fluid,instead of compressing air.
